Stroke survivor and author connects with Rivergate Health Care Center

On July 13, 2016, Julia Fox Garrison, a stroke survivor and bestselling author, stood before a group of Life Care associates dressed in superhero capes to share her story.

It was the Lakes Region’s annual Rewarding Excellence banquet, with executive directors, certified nursing assistants and other associates from the company’s Ohio and Michigan buildings gathered to present awards and gain inspiration. The event had a superhero theme.

Rivergate Complex celebrates 25,000 residents

The town of Riverview, Michigan, has a population of around 13,000, and Rivergate Complex, a skilled nursing and rehab campus in town, has served almost double that number. 

On May 19, 2016, Rivergate Health Care Center and Rivergate Terrace, which together make up the Rivergate Complex, hosted a Celebration of Service in honor of having served more than 25,000 patients since the first building opened in 1971.
